Caroline Potter Shriver is an actor, dancer, writer, and producer based in Brooklyn. Caroline graduated from Fordham University and The Ailey School, where she received a BFA in Dance and Latin American Studies. Caroline has taught dance around the United States and Latin America, partnering with arts education non-profits, including the Maureen Orth Foundation, JUNTOS Collective, and Americorps’ ArtistYear.
In 2021, she collaborated with a team of theatre artists to build The Village: a collective of artists and patrons that celebrate the creative process. The Village grew as an incubator for Caroline’s first solo-work, The Stella Show.
The Stella Show was workshopped at The Village’s Salon events and was ultimately produced by The Village as a full-length one-woman-show in October 2023 in residency at IRT Theatre (NYC). The Village has produced 10 Salons and 2 plays in New York City, and continues to find unique ways to feature work from emerging visual and performance artists.
In addition to acting and serving as Co-Founder and Artistic Director of The Village, Caroline directs theater, provides movement direction for film, and is constantly developing new projects across theatre, film, and dance. When she isn't working, Caroline is usually doodling or spearheading a passionate game of fishbowl with her friends. Her current theatrical obsession is People, Places, and Things directed by Jeremy Herrin. If you ask her about it you might have to listen to her talk all day. If you are working on the movie version, Caroline would love to chat. Connect with Caroline.
